Hola Students! (Sorry if you couldn’t find this ealier…something went wrong with the original BLOG post.) You are officially half way through the Fall quarter. Congratulations! Please post your comment with as much detail as possible.
This is a two-part response:
1. Luis Rodriguez uses lots of descriptive language in Always Running to bring his story to life. Choose one of your favorite descriptive sentences from Luis Rodriguez’ Book and answer the following questions: What is the sentence? What page is it on? Why did you choose it? What, specifically, do you like about it?
2. You have received your 1st essay back with comments and a grade. What do you most want to improve upon before the quarter is over? Please be as detailed as possible.
I look forward to reading your responses.

Hi Class. I know you are all working on the final drafts of your essays. I am sending positive thoughts your way. Take a moment to reflect on the process that you have gone through to write this essay and post a comment. What were/are the obstacles that you face when you begin to write an essay? Did you overcome them? How? Overall, how do you feel about this writing assignment?
Don’t forget to read each other’s comments, too!
BTW: I’m really looking forward to reading your final drafts!
Hi Class. Here’s your assignment for today: Get to know the author of your book on a more personal level. Click HERE to read a little bit about the author and listen to one of his poems. After you listen to one or more of his poems, add a comment to this blog. Your comment should answer the following questions: What did you learn about the author that you didn’t already know? Which poem did you listen to? What did you think of the poem?
THIS IS A REQUIRED ASSIGNMENT…it will count as part of you attendance and homework grade.
Welcome to our course blog. I will post questions and topics for discussion here and you can respond by simply clicking on the word “comment” below each post. You can also read each others comments before you post your own.
I look forward to hearing from all of you . Also, please feel free to send me suggestions for topics and discussion as they come up during the quarter.
